Position: Technical Support Consultant (ADEX)

Information about the job:

• To provide 2nd level support via the call logging system and also through direct communications to our end users within defined SLAs
• To evaluate, design, develop, implement and document enhancements to the technical environment
• Pro-actively manage change within the environment
• To keep up to date with processes and tools to maximize business potential within the department
• To assist with, and help develop, routine processes to ensure accuracy of documentation and management of related information
• To assist with, and help develop, technical processes for the maintainability, monitoring and management of the environment
• Liaison with end-users to manage expectation within the scope of the solutions provided

 

Information about the person:

• Must be educated degree level, or have comparable experience
• Technical Skills to include MSCE certified to Windows 2003 server and significant experience with Microsoft products and solutions to include Active Directory configuration and policy management and server operating systems (2003) including exposure to clustering
• Must have significant and relevant experience in delivering technical solutions in the Office System product portfolio.
• Experience in script writing, remote monitoring, troubleshooting tools and endpoint management tools would be advantageous
• Exposure to ITIL or ITIL foundation certification and certification in other mainstream product areas is desirable
Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workload
• Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team and to recognise when problems need upgrading/escalating
• Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to a satisfactory conclusion
• Personal presentation must be professional at all times as attendance at customer meetings may be required
• Current clean driving license
• Good physical health and fitness as some lifting will be required.
